Eigen&Wijzer BSO IKC Hei&Bos

We are Eigen&Wijzer BSO IKC Hei&Bos, part of the national childcare organization Eigen&Wijzer. Since the opening of our Integral Child Center in August 2018, we have been providing after-school care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 13 years at a unique location in the middle of nature in Hoenderloo. Our BSO is characterized by green childcare: nature and nature experience are central and care takes place outdoors as much as possible. We are proud to be the first IKC in the Netherlands to receive the Green Childcare quality mark. Our pedagogical professionals create a safe and challenging developmental environment where children can discover, play and have fun. After school, we organize challenging developmental activities. Children can actively relax, experience nature and especially have fun. We challenge children to think along with the activity program. By giving them ownership, they develop their talents, learn to work together and listen to each other. Our activities take place in the challenging outdoor space where children can play, discover and learn about the nature around them. During holidays, we work with our special Holiday Madness program, full of workshops, challenging activities and fun outings. We believe that children who have a good connection with nature from an early age will also maintain this as adults. Children feel healthier, experience less stress and feel better when they spend more time outdoors. In addition, it has a positive effect on learning ability, cooperation and the atmosphere in the groups. We work from the vision that every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. Loving care, child-centered work, nature experience, developmental activities and child participation form the basis of our childcare.
