BSO de CultuurWijzer is located in the atmospheric former rectory of the Dutch Reformed Church at Kerkweg 21 in Maarssen. As part of Eigen&Wijzer, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 years with a unique cultural focus. Our location breathes culture: high ceilings with chandeliers, cozy seating areas, cupboards full of creative materials and a professional kitchen where children can cook and bake themselves. We have a trampoline and plenty of space for outdoor play. In this inspiring environment, children get acquainted with theater, visual arts, dance, history, crafts and digital creative forms such as vlogging and digital creation. Children take ownership of their afternoon: they help think about the activity program and choose workshops that appeal to them. They can sing at the top of their lungs, learn to play an instrument, create art objects or work on our annual musical production. We believe every child has their own talent - not necessarily because they're good at it, but because it gives them energy and they enjoy it. During holidays we organize our famous VakantieZotheid program: every day is filled with challenging activities, fun outings and in-depth clinics. We go on adventures or invite external partners for unique experiences. This way every holiday with us becomes an unforgettable experience. Our pedagogical staff are specially trained for culture BSO and professionally guide children in discovering and developing their creative talents. We work on a small scale with a maximum of 30 places, ensuring lots of personal attention for each child.
