Eglantier

Welcome to daycare De Eglantier, part of Integral Child Center De Eglantier in Delft. We are located in the RH building at Roland Holstlaan 917-919, where we provide care for children from 6 weeks to 4 years old in a warm, homely atmosphere. Our daycare operates according to the pedagogical plan 'We enter the world!', with 'discovering play, challenging work' as our core philosophy. Everything we do revolves around the child and their unique development. We work in vertical groups, where children of different ages play and learn together. Young children are included in circle time, while older children help the little ones by reading them a book. This not only stimulates social development but also creates a close-knit community where children learn from each other. Our daily rhythm provides structure and predictability, giving children a sense of security. We start the day together at the table with a drink and fruit, after which we work thematically. Each theme returns in our circle activities, craft activities, and is visible in the group setup. For the youngest ones, we follow the home rhythm for feeding and sleeping during the first year, ensuring a smooth transition from home to daycare. Language development receives extra attention with us. Our toddlers naturally get acquainted with the English language and learn a number of English words. This happens playfully and is adjusted to their developmental level. Additionally, we stimulate children's broad development through a varied offering of activities and materials. We don't follow a specific VVE method, but do offer structured activities that connect with young children's world of experience. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in the development of babies and toddlers. They give each child the space to lean and be supported, and to grow by falling and getting up again. We believe children have the right to security and attention, freedom of choice, and space to develop themselves and their talents. When conflicts arise, we don't intervene directly, but guide children in solving problems themselves, only taking over when safety is at stake. We consider good communication with parents essential. Through the SRK app, we keep you informed about your child's development and share photos and daily reports. We work closely with parents to optimally support the upbringing and development of each child.
