Duimelotje

KDV Duimelotje is a small-scale day-care centre run by Kinderopvang Kiki, conveniently located at Valkenburgerweg 16 in Heerlen, within walking distance of the city centre. Our homely group rooms provide care for up to 24 children aged 0 to 4 years. The rooms are arranged into different play corners with challenging, age-appropriate toys so that every child can develop in a safe and stimulating environment. Our qualified staff follow the proven Kiki approach: small-scale, personal, and with full attention to the unique character of each child. We offer familiar faces and a warm, home-like atmosphere where structure and security are paramount. Each day has fixed moments for play, rest, feeding and cuddles, all tailored to the rhythm of your baby or toddler. Outside we have a secure, paved playground with shady spots and a sandpit. When the weather is nice we spend plenty of time outdoors; even the youngest babies can come along in our prams for a breath of fresh air. For afternoon naps we have separate sleeping rooms with cots and blackout blinds, allowing every toddler or baby to rest undisturbed. Duimelotje works closely with parents. You will receive a short daily report with photos via our app, so you can share in your child’s progress. Flexible days and hours are negotiable, from half-days to full weeks.
