Dromelot Kinderdagverblijf

Dromelot Daycare is located in a characteristic former school building at Frederiksstraat 18A, right next to the green Vondelpark in Amsterdam. Since our founding on March 8, 1993, we have been providing small-scale, involved childcare for up to 73 children aged 0 to 4 years for almost thirty years. Our daycare consists of just six groups, each with its own access to our atmospheric garden. This deliberately small-scale setup ensures peace, overview, and lots of personal attention for every child. Our vision is deeply rooted in anthroposophy and the approach according to Emmi Pikler. We believe that every child should be allowed to develop at their own pace, with rituals and the seasons playing a central role. We experience the seasons intensely with the children through natural materials, seasonal activities, and following the yearly rhythm. Our pedagogical staff provide plenty of space for free play development and follow the natural needs of the child. We attach great importance to organic food without added sugars. We prepare meals with care and love, taking into account each child's developmental stage. The design of our spaces is thoughtful and calm, with natural materials that stimulate the senses without being overwhelming. Each group has access to our enclosed garden where children can play safely and discover nature. At Dromelot, we create a safe haven where children can develop into confident, social individuals. We work with vertical groups, allowing children of different ages to play together and learn from each other. Our experienced pedagogical staff are ready to guide your child with warmth and expertise during these important first years of life.
