Welcome to Day-care Dribbel at Lange Kavel 50 in Emmer-Compascuum. We are located inside community centre “de Stobbe” and provide small-scale, homely care for up to twelve children from six weeks to four years old. Our vertical group – where babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play together – gives the youngest natural role models to learn from and supports their development. At Dribbel the child is seen as the individual it is. We work exclusively with permanent staff who approach every child personally. A fixed daily rhythm offers emotional security: playing, eating, sleeping and changing follow one another at a calm pace. In the cosy group room materials are already laid out in different play corners – reading corner, building corner, dolls’ corner, puzzle cupboard and a large cupboard with open-ended materials – so children are immediately challenged to learn through play. Our pedagogical approach is inspired by Emmi Pikler and Montessori. We use as many natural materials as possible, placed within reach, to stimulate independence and curiosity. For the toddlers we offer the Early Childhood Education programme “Uk en Puk”, a language programme that playfully prepares them for primary school. Flexibility is our trademark. You choose the care times within our open-door policy (Monday to Friday 07:30 – 18:30) and only pay for the hours you actually use. Half-days can be arranged by consultation. We also allow brothers or sisters from the after-school care to drop by for a cuddle in the day-care group, making the whole setting feel like one warm nest. Nappies, fruit, healthy snacks and drinks are included. Through the user-friendly parent app the team shares daily photos and messages, you can request extra days and report holidays.
