Drakenstein

BSO Drakenstein is located at Klarinet 1 in the Schollevaar district of Capelle aan den IJssel. We provide after-school care for up to 80 children aged 4 to 12. Our team is ready every school day to give children a safe, challenging and enjoyable time. During school weeks we are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7.30-8.30 am for before-school care (VSO) and after school from 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm for after-school care (NSO). During school holidays we welcome children from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm. We also offer care on school study days and closure days; these hours are included in a 52-week contract. Our site is on a car-free road and there is ample parking in the neighbourhood. We use the parent Konnect app: through it you can report absence or holidays and safely follow your child’s daily diary. Co-operation with parents is very important to us. We start with an intake meeting, hold an annual start meeting and offer parents opportunities to observe the group. Through the theme letter we keep parents informed of the current theme and provide tips to work on it at home. In this way we ensure a smooth link between home and after-school care so that children can develop optimally.
