Doomijn KDV Sportlaan

Welcome to Doomijn KDV Sportlaan, our welcoming daycare centre located inside the Integral Child Centre ‘Het Festival’ at Sportlaan 8 in Zwolle. We provide care for 64 children aged 0–4 in a homely environment where every child feels unique and at home. Our educational approach is built around the ‘Power of 8’ values. Each period the children playfully explore a new value about themselves and others through stories, games, sports and creative activities. Babies and toddlers enjoy calm, attentive care in separate sleeping rooms; bottle feeding, fresh fruit and healthy snacks are provided as a matter of course. For the pre-school group (3–4 years) we organise daily activities in our so-called parade group: crafting at the large table, reading in the book corner, running and climbing on the spacious outdoor yard or visiting the petting farm and sports fields next door. Our garden is a true discovery zone: water fun at the water-play unit, sand-box adventures and green corners for studying insects. When the weather is nice we eat outside and make use of natural shade. Everything is safely arranged and we take allergies or dietary requirements into account. Together with parents we create a continuous line from baby to young teenager. We communicate openly and personally, so you as a parent know exactly how your child has experienced the day.
