Doomijn KDV Schapendrift

Welcome to Doomijn KDV Schapendrift, our daycare centre located in the green surroundings of Havelte. We provide care for up to 48 children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely, safe environment where wonder is at the heart of everything we do. Children are free to play without pressure and to colour outside the lines. We work with themes that match the world of young children: the seasons, nature, colours and shapes. We celebrate holidays such as Christmas and Sinterklaas, and walk with lanterns to the local nursing home. Indoors we have a home corner, a construction corner and a quiet reading corner where children can relax with a book. Outdoors we use the playground and the nature of Havelte as one big discovery zone. Our qualified pedagogical staff – Chantal, Linda, Henriëtte, Lavita and Maaike – are ready every day to challenge and guide the children. We encourage learning through play and closely follow each child’s development. Together with parents – whom we consider irreplaceable – we create a warm, familiar place where children can grow in self-confidence and individuality. We are open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:15. We work closely with the playgroup and the local primary school, ensuring smooth transitions.
