Doomijn KDV Ruigedoornstraat

Welcome to Doomijn KDV Ruigedoornstraat, located in the heart of Dalfsen on the grounds of kulturhus ‘Trefkoele+’. We provide care for 48 children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, safe environment where fun, discovery and development are central. Our day-care centre is part of Stichting Doomijn, a national organisation that gives more than 5,600 children in over 160 locations a great start in life. Every day is a celebration with us. We have our own natural playground where children can run, climb and play with sand, water and leaves. We also make grateful use of the facilities inside ‘Trefkoele+’: a library, a toy library and a large gym. For our youngest children this means exploring the world around them through play, while toddlers and pre-schoolers can let off steam on the climbing frames, jump and balance in the gym or join one of our themed trips to the forest, the shops or the children’s farm. We work thematically and follow the programme ‘Childcare in Motion’. This means that we tailor physical activities to each child’s stage of development: from wiggling and rolling for babies to climbing, running and building for toddlers. With every new theme we visit the library together with the children to borrow books that match their curiosity. Every year we celebrate National Reading Breakfast, Mud Day and Grandparents’ Week; traditions that connect child, parents and the world around us. Our groups are organised horizontally, so babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each receive the rest, stimulation and guidance appropriate to their age. We offer both full and half-day care, always in small groups with regular, qualified pedagogical staff. Parents experience our childcare as a second home: familiar, involved and full of wonder. Together we give children the space to grow, make mistakes and get dirty – because that’s how they learn.
