Doomijn KDV Betelgeuze

Welcome to Doomijn daycare Betelgeuze, located in a quiet residential area of Lemmer. We provide care for up to 73 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location offers plenty of space to play, both indoors and outdoors. We operate a bilingual policy: our pedagogical staff speak both Dutch and Frisian with the children. This supports language development and prepares children well for life in Friesland. We closely monitor each child’s development and provide pre-school education (VVE). Learning through play is central: we explore nature, take trips to the supermarket or playground, and organise themes such as Sinterklaas, Christmas, autumn, traffic, colours and shapes. Inside we have a large play hall where children can climb, clamber and cycle. There are quiet corners for reading books and cosy sleeping areas for the little ones. Outside there are several playgrounds with sandpits, a playhouse and a lawn. When the weather is nice, we spend a lot of time outside and use the nearby forest. We believe it is important that children feel safe and at home. That is why we work with permanent pedagogical staff who know each child well. We offer flexible childcare hours from 07:30 to 18:15 and half-days are possible. Parents are welcome for a tour or can register directly via our website.
