Doomijn BSO Westwijs

Welcome to Doomijn BSO Westwijs, our cheerful after-school care located at Papaverweg 57 in Zwolle. We provide care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12 years and work closely with primary school Westwijs, ensuring a seamless transition from school to after-school care. At our location, the child is central and every child gets the space to discover what they enjoy. We work with three horizontal groups: the Cheerful Butterflies, Busy Bees and Jumping Grasshoppers. Each group has its own dynamics and activities, tailored to the age and interests of the children. Our location features a large garden with a sandbox, climbing equipment and vegetable garden boxes. We have a shed full of sports and play materials and are adjacent to a playground with climbing frames and a panna cage. Once a week we go to Het Anker for a sports lesson from Sportservice Zwolle. Indoors there's plenty to do too: we have a home corner, construction corner, reading corner, dollhouse, light table and games cupboard. Children can choose for quiet activities like crafting or reading, but also for active games or sports. We believe in the power of making your own choices. That's why we let children think and choose what they want to do. Our permanent pedagogical staff naturally provide guidance and keep an eye on things, but it's the children who choose. This makes our care so pleasant and special. Creative and culinary activities are an important part of our offering. We regularly bake something delicious in the kitchen and organize cool workshops like yoga, candle making or skateboarding. We also collaborate with the Wonder Hut for special projects. Children can put their ideas in the wish box, then we'll make something fun together! Our opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 14:15 to 18:15. On Wednesday and Friday we are closed, but children from primary school Westwijs are cared for by BSO Papaverweg. This way we ensure together that there's always care when needed. At BSO Westwijs you can and may be completely yourself. Creative and curious, investigative and eager to learn, active or quiet. Whoever you are, whatever you want and can do: together we make every day a day full of adventure and fun!
