Doomijn BSO Vuurvlinder

Welcome to Doomijn BSO Grote Vuurvlinder, our cheerful after-school care located right in the green heart of Weststellingwerf. We are situated next to OBS Tuindorp in the Lindewijk district, allowing children to walk safely to us straight after school. With 50 regular places we offer a homely spot where children aged 4 to 12 can flutter, discover and grow once classes are over. Outdoor play and nature are at the heart of everything we do. Whenever the weather allows we head outside: digging and castle-building in the sandpit, helping out in our own vegetable garden, or using the large schoolyard to cycle, run or picnic on the grass. Right next to our building is a real football pitch where we often kick a ball around. Our garden is safely fenced and gives plenty of room to romp about or simply relax in the shade of the trees. Older children have their own special 10+ box filled with cool items such as nail polish, magazines, an iPad and a tech kit for starting creative projects. We believe children learn most when they are free to choose and invent what they want to do. That is why we offer activities in creativity, technology, nature and sport, while always keeping the fun factor first. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every day to give the children a familiar yet challenging environment. We work with fixed staff who know every child well and understand what each one needs. Together we make every day a little celebration where fun and development go hand in hand. At Doomijn BSO Grote Vuurvlinder children grow in every way, simply by playing and having fun.
