DOK WRK

Welcome to DOK WRK, our after-school care centre at Schoolstraat 3B in Schiedam. We are part of KomKids Childcare, an organisation that has been guiding children in the region for over ten years. Since 15 May 2018 our BSO has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 373967639. Our location accommodates up to 42 school-aged children from 4 to 13 years old. Children are placed in three horizontal age groups: Binnenhaven (4-6 years), Jachthaven (6-8 years) and Marinehaven (8-13 years). Each group has a fixed pedagogical employee who already knows the child well and understands their interests. We operate Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00. Outside these standard hours you can purchase additional hours, so you always remain flexible. In the mornings from 07:00 to 08:00 and in the afternoons from 17:00 to 18:00 we merge the groups with the day-care groups of Kindercentrum Dok, so that brothers and sisters can meet each other. Our pedagogical staff encourage children to go on their own discovery journey. We believe that children learn the most by doing. That is why we offer varied activities every day that connect with the child's world of experience. Think of crafts, outdoor play, sports and games, but also quiet moments with a book or a board game. DOK WRK is located in the Oranjekwartier district of Schiedam, close to various primary schools. We pick up and drop off children to and from school, so you don't have to worry about the transition between school and childcare. Our location is cosily furnished with different corners where children can play, relax or do homework. KomKids Childcare stands for a safe environment and the best care.
