BSO DOEgroen is part of the Stichting Democratisch Onderwijs Eindhoven foundation and is located on the grounds of DOE040 democratic elementary school at Blaarthemseweg 83 in Veldhoven. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 who are enrolled at our democratic elementary school. Our BSO fully aligns with DOE040's vision: children are given the freedom to make their own choices and learn to discover their talents naturally. Our childcare facility utilizes the classrooms and spacious outdoor area of the school. Additionally, we work closely with a nearby children's farm where children can play among chickens and small animals. Outdoor life is central to our approach: we provide ample space for children to explore, play and learn in the natural environment. We operate with three horizontal age groups: the Binky's for children aged 4-13 (maximum 22 children), the Boefjes for 7-13 years (maximum 24 children), and the Banjers for 4-13 years (maximum 22 children). Children aged 4-6 are welcome from 15:00 onwards, while older children can come directly after school. After 16:00, when no more education is provided, all children are in our care. Our pedagogical approach is based on equality and freedom. Children learn in a self-directed manner and can participate in decisions about how they spend their time at BSO. We create a safe and stimulating environment where every child can be themselves and grow at their own pace.
