Dikkie Dik

Welcome to Dikkie Dik, our own pre-school playgroup located at Christelijke Basisschool Beatrix, Herenoord 10 in Rotterdam. We provide a safe and familiar environment where children aged 2 to 4 develop through play. Dikkie Dik works closely with the primary school, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-school to group 1. Our toddlers work in small groups following the Uk & Puk programme. This programme stimulates the broad development of young children through active play, with a strong focus on language and numeracy. We work thematically and set concrete goals for each child. Social-emotional development receives much attention; we learn to play together, share and understand each other. Parents can choose from different forms of childcare. From age 2 we offer sessions: two mornings and two afternoons per week. Mornings run from 08:20 to 11:20, afternoons from 12:00 to 15:00. On Wednesday there is a longer morning session from 08:20 to 12:20. From age 2.5 we also offer full-day care from 08:20 to 15:00 (not on Wednesday). We are open to new families.
