Diakonijntje

Diakonijntje Daycare is a small-scale, professional childcare centre located on the edge of Leidse Hout at Zweilandlaan 14 in Leiden. For over 25 years we have been a familiar face in the neighbourhood and a well-known name both inside and outside the Diaconessenhuis. Since 1 November 2014 we have been part of FloreoKids, which has further strengthened our expertise and commitment to the local community. At Diakonijntje we provide care for up to 46 children aged 0 to 4. Our centre is divided into a baby group, a toddler group and two vertical groups where children of different ages play and learn together. This set-up reflects our belief that children develop best in a safe, homely environment where there is room for everyone's talents. We encourage every child to move, discover and grow at his or her own pace. Our pedagogical staff provide personal attention and guide the children with warmth and professionalism. Because of our small scale we know every child and family well, creating a familiar and secure atmosphere. We work from a clear vision of childcare in which cooperation with parents and involvement in the community are central. In this way children not only grow in development, but also in connection with the world around them.
