De Zonnewijzer

Welcome to KDV de Zonnewijzer, a cosy and welcoming daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4, located inside primary school De Windroos at Karveel 22-28 in Lelystad. Our small, close-knit team of permanent pedagogical staff creates a homely atmosphere in which every child feels safe and at home. We work in one vertical group, allowing children of different ages to play, discover and learn together. Each child is given the space to develop at his or her own pace; we follow their interests and tailor our activities accordingly. Outside we have our own enclosed garden where the youngest children can run, climb and explore nature safely. We also make regular use of De Windroos’ gym hall, where we organise toddler gym sessions focused on movement, balance and developing gross motor skills in a playful way. Nearby playgrounds and the Zuigerplasbos offer even more opportunities to be outdoors and explore the world. The transition to primary school is smooth. Children become familiar with the school environment at an early age, join the older pupils for outdoor play and thus develop a sense of confidence for the next step. We work closely with the pre-school playgroup and the after-school care centre Het Anker, both located in the same building, creating one continuous and familiar line for every child. Parents consciously choose KDV de Zonnewijzer because of our small, stable team, the adjoining garden and the varied range of activities we tailor to every age. We share the daily experiences through the Konnect app: you receive photos, a personal diary and up-to-date news, so you can follow and read how your child has experienced the day. We also regularly invite you for parent meetings, information sessions or a cup of coffee during pick-up and drop-off. Together we ensure that your child grows and blossoms with pleasure.
