De Zilverberg

Welcome to De Zilverberg, our daycare centre located at Willem Alexanderstraat 1 in Overasselt. We are part of KION childcare and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely and safe environment. Our location is small-scale and easy to oversee. We work with two horizontal groups: a baby group for children aged 0 to 2 and a toddler group for children aged 2 to 4. Each group has its own regular pedagogical staff so that your child sees familiar faces and quickly feels at home. Outside we are well equipped: we have two outdoor areas – a quiet baby hill and a challenging playground for toddlers. We go outside every day, because outdoor play is great for motor development and above all great fun! In fine weather the babies play on their own hill with soft mats and shade sails. Toddlers race bikes down a hill, build dens or help in our vegetable garden. Rain? No problem: boots on, umbrella up and splash in the puddles! We follow the Uk & Puk method, an official Early Childhood Education programme that stimulates language, numeracy and social skills in a playful way. Themes such as seasons, animals and traffic are covered in different ways: we sing songs, do crafts, read books and make trips to the park or De Brinkhorst petting farm. In this way children learn about the world around them through play. In short, at De Zilverberg your child has every opportunity to grow in a safe, familiar environment with dedicated professionals and plenty of room for play, discovery and fun.
