De Wonderlamp

BSO De Wonderlamp is located in the middle of the 'Pietje Bell' nature playground in the Prinsenland district. We are an anthroposophical after-school care center where the rhythm of the seasons and nature are central. We eat organic food, work with natural materials and play outside every day. The elements of sand, grass, trees and water with stepping stones completely match the anthroposophical character of our BSO. During school holidays, there is always a central theme. We challenge the children to come up with ideas themselves. They often have the most surprising plans. What is feasible, we also do. In this way, children learn to think about what they really want and to stand up for themselves. This makes the theme come more and more alive for the children. Our cooking workshop is a favorite among the children. They experience that you have to work together and that making a schedule is important. Discussing the recipe, doing the shopping yourself or ordering, dividing tasks when cooking, then eating together and washing up and tidying everything again. Group dynamics are very important for a child's development. Besides cooking, the children are also often creative. Large constructions are made, but also small creations. We also often work together with BSO Mini & Maxi and come up with fun joint activities. Our goal is to make every day a party. We celebrate the anthroposophical annual festivals such as Sinterklaas, Christmas, St. John's and St. Martin's.
