Welcome to De Wonderberk childcare in Castricum. Since September 2019 we are located at Dorpsstraat 109, in our own premises next to physiotherapy Rootjes. We offer day-care (KDV) for children from 10 weeks to 4 years, half-day care (toddler group) and after-school care. Our approach is based on anthroposophy: we work with natural materials, a steady daily rhythm and exclusively organic-biodynamic food. In the day-care groups children have plenty of room to develop. We use horizontal groups: babies (0-2 years) and toddlers (2-4 years) are cared for separately, so we can meet their specific needs. The rooms are furnished like a home, with wooden toys, silk, wool and cotton. Together with the pedagogical staff the children bake bread, make applesauce or other seasonal products daily; sometimes with vegetables from our own vegetable garden. Meals at the table with songs are a fixed ritual, after which we go outside to our large, green playground at least once a day. For the youngest we keep their own feeding and sleeping rhythm as much as possible. Parents provide the formula used at home. We offer peace and security, so the difference between home and Wonderberk stays as small as possible. Feel free to contact us for a tour or more information!
