De Woelwaters KDV

Welcome to De Woelwaters, a cozy small daycare centre located in the quiet, child-friendly Assumburg neighbourhood in Heemskerk. We are part of Welschap Kinderopvang and provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in three groups: a baby group (0-2 years), a toddler group (2-4 years) and a mixed-age group (0-4 years). Because of our small scale, all children and staff know each other, creating a homely and familiar atmosphere. Indoors, the environment is modern, fresh and bright, with a shared play hall. Each child has its own home group, but is also welcome to play with other groups if it feels comfortable. We work with a permanent team of dedicated pedagogical staff who know every child well and build warm, personal relationships. Every day we offer fun activities through which children learn and discover through play. We use the VVE methodology 'Speelplezier', with extra attention to language stimulation and development. Our pride is the beautiful natural outdoor playground where children can run, cycle, play and explore. There is a hill to roll down, a sheltered play corner for the very youngest and plenty of space to move. We go outside every day and when it rains we simply put on boots and take umbrellas along. Nappies, warm organic meals from Spoony, fruit and drinks are all included. Parents stay involved through our digital parent portal with photos, stories and daily logs. At De Woelwaters, every child feels seen and is given the space to grow and shine.
