De Wetterblom

Welcome to De Wetterblom, our daycare center located in the heart of Brede School de Drait at Flevo 192 in Drachten. The name 'Wetterblom' is the Frisian word for water lily, symbolizing our connection to nature and our Frisian heritage. Here, children aged 0 to 4 find a warm, safe place where they can develop optimally. Our location accommodates up to 40 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since November 1, 2010. We work with horizontal groups, where babies and toddlers are cared for separately from the preschool group. This allows us to perfectly tailor care and activities to your child's developmental stage. De Wetterblom features a spacious, green outdoor area where children can play and explore to their heart's content. Our garden invites natural discovery journeys and outdoor play in all seasons. Inside, we have separate sleeping rooms where children can rest peacefully according to their own rhythm. For the little ones, we have special baby cribs, while toddlers can rest on comfortable mattresses. We offer both full and half-day care, flexibly responding to parents' needs. Our pedagogical staff speak both Dutch and Frisian, allowing your child to grow up naturally bilingual. In our daily activities, we pay great attention to language development and creative expression. Children have space to paint, craft, and build with various materials. For your child's care, we provide necessary care products, including diapers, wipes, and formula when needed. We take allergies and diets into account. In between, we serve healthy bread meals, fresh fruit, and drinks. Hot meals are not included but can of course be brought along. As part of Partou, we work with a professional pedagogical policy focused on each child's development. We use modern communication tools like a parent app to keep you informed of your child's daily experiences. Together, we create a familiar environment where your child feels safe and loved.
