De Westervriend dependance

BSO De Westervriend Dependance is a welcoming after-school care centre located on the upper floor of childcare centre De Petteflet at Lethmaetstraat 47 in Gouda. We provide care for up to 20 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. We are open after school until 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Children help decide the programme each afternoon; they share their ideas and together we choose what is feasible. Activities include cooking, crafts, drama, outdoor play and sports, all organised around themes selected with the children. During school holidays we run a special holiday programme with outings and workshops; on Wednesdays and Fridays children join BSO De Ontdekkingsreizigers. We work with four base groups: the Coole Kikkers (10 children), the Smurfen (20 children), the Super Pubers (10 children) and the Wednesday group (10 children). This structure offers familiarity and matches different developmental stages. Our qualified staff pick up children from De Goudakker and De KAS; children from De Westerschool walk to us independently. Daily updates for parents are shared through the parent portal and Konnect app.
