de Wervelwind

BSO de Wervelwind is located inside the primary school Sint Medardus at Het Schoor 1a in Wessem. We provide after-school care for up to 30 children aged 4 to 13 from Thorn and Wessem. The BSO is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Thornerkwartier and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2010 under number 190653474. Our pedagogical staff collect children from grades 1 and 2 from their classrooms; all other children walk to the after-school care on their own. The care space is situated within the primary school building, making the transition from school to BSO short and familiar. We value relaxation and fun: children decide for themselves whether to join activities or play freely. When weather permits, we use the school playground for outdoor play. In addition, we offer craft activities, games, baking and other creative pastimes. At 16:45 we tidy up together, enjoy a breakfast cake and breadstick, after which children can continue to play freely. During teacher training days and school holidays we organise full or half-day care. This takes place in either Thorn or Wessem, depending on the number of registrations. Parents drop off and collect their child at the care location. For before-school care you can discuss possibilities with the manager/administration. BSO de Wervelwind works closely with primary school Sint Medardus. The school directly refers parents to us for before- and after-school care. Our location is supervised by GGD Limburg-Noord and meets all statutory quality requirements.
