De Vlindertuin

Daycare De Vlindertuin is located in the broad school De Weide at Loirestraat 9 in the Weidevenne district of Purmerend. Our skilled team of pedagogical staff provides a pleasant, warm and homely atmosphere for children aged 0 to 4 years. We work with three vertical groups: De Vuurvlinder, De Regenboogvlinder and De Zomervlinder. This allows children of different ages to play together and learn from each other. Everything we do is based on following your child's natural rhythm. Each morning we briefly discuss how the night went and align the daily schedule as much as possible with your home routine. The day starts at 07:00 with a calm arrival and a short consultation between parent and pedagogical staff. Around 09:30 it's time for a shared fruit snack, where children help prepare the fruit themselves. This is followed by playtime or a well-deserved nap in our quiet sleeping areas. At 11:30 we serve a fresh hot meal, ranging from softly cooked vegetable mash for the youngest to a complete children's meal with bite for toddlers and preschoolers. We believe that eating together encourages eating and helps children discover different tastes and textures. After lunch there is again room for play, relaxation or an afternoon nap. Around 15:00 a healthy snack is ready such as yogurt, a topped cracker or sliced vegetables. The day ends with another play session and from 16:30 you can pick up your child. We briefly discuss how the day went and in the Parent App you can find a detailed report with photos. Our location has its own playground directly adjacent to all rooms. Children can make sand pies in the sandbox, slide down the slide or ride around on various types of (walking) bikes. Even the youngest ones enjoy being outside; your baby sleeps wonderfully in the pram during a walk. We attach great importance to healthy nutrition and an active lifestyle from the first years of life. That's why we serve a fresh hot meal daily and regularly go outside. Daycare De Vlindertuin is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Purmerend and works intensively with primary school De Weidevogels. Together we are developing a Child Center where childcare and education flow seamlessly into each other. This ensures a smooth transition to group 1 and later to after-school care in a familiar environment.
