De Vlindertuin

Welcome to De Vlindertuin, our daycare center located at Cornelia van Arkeldijk 22 in Heerhugowaard. We are a public and recognized daycare facility that meets all requirements of the Dutch Childcare Act. We provide professional childcare for children from 8 weeks to 4 years old. We operate with two horizontal groups. Our toddler group, which started in September 2024, accommodates up to 12 children. This group has no sleeping area and focuses specifically on preparing children for primary school. Our vertical groups offer space for up to 16 children per day, guided by 3 permanent, qualified staff members and almost daily an intern. Our pedagogical policy focuses on your child's development in a safe and familiar environment. We offer a wide range of activities including music, arts and crafts, language development, sports activities and nature exploration. We regularly go on excursions and have our own library corner where we read aloud and stimulate the love for books. Our spacious garden provides ample opportunities for outdoor play and discovery. For the youngest ones, we provide diapers and wipes, and offer bottle feeding. We serve a warm meal daily, fresh fruit and healthy snacks. For children with food allergies or special dietary needs, we have appropriate alternatives. Our team is always ready to give your child the care and attention they deserve. We work with the parent portal Klasbord, so you are always informed about your child's development. Our location is equipped with secure access and we maintain fixed opening hours from Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
