Located in the heart of Amsterdam-West at Eerste Nassaustraat 7, de Vlinderboom Amsterdam West is a daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4. We provide a warm, homely atmosphere where rhythm, repetition and calm are central. This creates a familiar environment in which every child feels seen and safe. Our pedagogical staff carefully observe all children to follow their development in every area. We work from an anthroposophical vision, paying attention to the unique development of each child. Younger children are offered rest and a steady daily rhythm, while older children find both challenge and relaxation in play and activities. We offer both full-day and half-day care and work with a vertical group structure. This means children of different ages play and learn together, just like in a family. Younger children learn from the older ones, while older children develop care and responsibility. Every year we organise special activities and celebrations that connect with the seasons and anthroposophical traditions. De Vlinderboom is therefore not just a place where children are cared for, but a place where they can quietly develop into who they are meant to be.
