De Vliegende Koffer

Welcome to BSO De Vliegende Koffer, located at Andersenpad 9 in Woerden. We are part of Kind & Co Ludens, the largest social childcare organization in the Netherlands. Children aged 4 to 12 find a homely place with us where they can play, relax and discover after school. Our pedagogical staff pick up the children from Andersenschool and take them to our location. Once arrived, the children first play outside for about three quarters of an hour on our spacious playground with monkey bars and a climbing frame. Then we sit down together to eat and drink. This is a quiet moment where children can unwind from school and share their stories. BSO time is free time. Children choose what they want to do. Inside we offer various play areas where children can read, build, do crafts or play a board game. We work with themes that connect to the season, holidays or ideas from children and staff. These themes guide our activities. We regularly organize activities in the areas of dance and movement, drama, visual arts, sports and games or cooking and baking. Children choose whether to participate. Sometimes there are external workshops that children can sign up for. We believe it's important that children feel safe and at home with us. Therefore we offer a familiar environment with fixed routines and recognizable moments of eating, resting and playing. Together we create a place where every child can be themselves and where there is room for both relaxation and challenge.
