Peuteropvang de Vijfmaster Start is located in the multifunctional building 't Zoeklicht in Veghel-South, sharing the location with primary school De Vijfmaster. We provide care for children aged 2 years and 3 months to 4 years in a safe and familiar environment. As a VVE (pre-school education) toddler care facility, our focus is on language development through theme-based activities that connect with the children's world of experience. Our group space is designed with various development corners including a home corner, car/construction corner, reading corner, and discovery/math corner. These corners are thematically arranged where language and math are offered in a playful manner. We work with a fixed daily schedule that provides structure and rhythm, using signal songs and daily rhythm cards for predictability. The toddler care is open 40 weeks per year from Monday to Friday. Morning sessions run from 8:30 to 12:30 and afternoon sessions from 13:00 to 17:00. We are closed during school holidays and national holidays, but open on study days and other school-free days. We have a direct connection with the kindergarten groups of primary school De Vijfmaster through sliding walls, which facilitates the transition to primary school. Outside, we have our own play area where children can run and explore. Each group consists of a maximum of 14 children with two permanent pedagogical staff members, with emphasis on personal attention and development.
