De Veldmuis

Welcome to De Veldmuis Daycare in the Veldhuizen district. We are a small-scale, cozy daycare with a spacious play hall and a large garden. Here your child develops playfully in all kinds of areas. This way we make the transition to primary school as smooth as possible. We love to go out with the children and the cart to nice playgrounds. And at De Veldmuis Daycare we are not afraid of a little rain. Boots on, and go! But we can also play wonderfully nearby. In our Natural Outdoor Play garden, the children can really let off steam. We work with two vertical groups, so the younger children are together with the slightly older children in the group. It is wonderful to see how the children learn from each other. We encourage children in their independence and self-reliance with activities that match their world of experience. The children play as much as possible with real-life materials. Because of our small scale, our daycare breathes a homely atmosphere where children, parents and pedagogical staff feel immediately at ease. In addition to the two vertical groups, we also have a special toddler group. The children in this group are almost 4 and ready for new challenges. The pedagogical staff in this group create a special program for them. So we have a circle discussion here every day, we work with new materials (such as a pin pen, scissors or beads) and we use more challenging puzzles and games. By offering more challenge, we prepare the children for primary school. We also encourage the children to make choices in their play and they have their own tasks and responsibilities in the group.
