De tuin van Berkel, BSO

Welcome to De tuin van Berkel, our after-school care (BSO) location at Anthuriumsingel 150 in Berkel en Rodenrijs. We are part of childcare organization De Paddestoel and provide after-school care for 90 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our location is not a traditional school building, but a spacious facility with extensive amenities. Children can enjoy our art studio, dance and music room, teaching kitchen and sports field. We have our own instruction swimming pool where children learn to swim in a playful and safe way. Additionally, we feature a children's farm, vegetable garden and greenhouse where children explore nature and learn where food comes from. We pick up children from various primary schools in the area. Our qualified childcare staff are ready every school day to guide children from school to the after-school care. For children who are members of sports clubs or associations, we take them to their training sessions on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday we pick them up and bring them back as well. Each day focuses on play, relaxation and development. We offer various activities such as cooking in our teaching kitchen, crafting in the art studio, sports and games on our own sports field, and music and dance activities. We regularly visit our children's farm or take walks through the vegetable garden. In between, there is plenty of opportunity to play outside on our specially designed playground with sandpit, climbing frame and slide. For lunch and snacks, we provide daily fresh bread from the local baker. We accommodate special dietary needs such as allergies to cow's milk, gluten, peanuts or chicken eggs. Halal meat is also ordered weekly. Everything is included so parents can leave their child with peace of mind. Our groups are small-scale and manageable, allowing our qualified childcare staff sufficient time for personal attention. We work with permanent staff who know the children well and provide a familiar face. Together we create a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop at their own pace.
