De Trommelaar

Welcome to De Trommelaar daycare, located in the heart of Maarn at Buurtsteeg 11, right next to the SVMM football fields and bordering the beautiful Utrechtse Heuvelrug forest. Part of Kind & Co Ludens, we have been providing a warm, safe and challenging environment for children aged 0 to 4 since 2010. In our four vertical groups and one toddler group, children learn to interact with peers as well as younger and older children through play. This group structure stimulates social development and gives every child the space to grow at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff work according to the Pedagogical Heart of Kind & Co Ludens, with four core values at its centre: feeling good and having fun, growing and discovering, a rich environment and being together. Our spacious, bright group rooms are homely and furnished with cosy corners for playing, building or quietly reading a book. We tailor activities to each child's developmental level: we bake tasty treats together, create beautiful crafts and play fun games on the movement floor. Outdoor play happens every day. In our large, fenced garden children can slide, dig in the sandbox and ride bikes on the traffic square as if they are really on the road. We regularly go out with the pull-cart: to the playground, the forest, the market or the bookshop to listen to a beautiful story. Nature is our biggest playground. We use the forest for treasure hunts and discovery trips, where children can indulge their curiosity and learn to understand the world around them. For the youngest children we provide all necessary care: bottle feeding, fresh fruit and healthy snacks, and quiet sleeping areas where toddlers and babies can safely retreat. We take allergies and dietary requirements into account and work with the Uk & Puk method, through which we offer fun and educational activities daily based on a theme that connects to young children's world of experience. De Trommelaar daycare is more than just childcare; it is a place where children feel at home, where they can be who they are and where they joyfully discover who they can become.
