Peuteropvang de Toverlantaarn is located within primary school Het Avontuur at Rameaustraat 6 in Heemskerk. Although we share the entrance with the school, we have our own natural outdoor playground where children experience new adventures every day. Toddlers from 2 years and 3 months are welcome to join us for two or three fixed morning sessions each week. We follow the preschool education programme Startblokken, which uses themes that connect perfectly with young children's world of experience. Play is central, while we stimulate language development and other skills in a playful manner. Our pedagogical staff create a safe and challenging environment where children can choose what they want to play with. At the same time, we pay much attention to group play and structure, such as sitting together in a circle, singing, reading aloud and movement games. A special highlight is our mud kitchen. With cooking utensils from the 'grown-up world' and ingredients from nature, toddlers can endlessly mess around with mud, sand, water and leaves. Just stir and the dish can be served! Enjoy exploring and getting messy. The rain does the washing up for us. Our childcare hours are Monday to Thursday from 8.15 to 12.15. Does your child have an early education (VE) indication? Then from 2.5 years old, your child can play with us for two additional mornings free of charge, making four mornings in total. We offer a continuous learning path towards primary education, giving your child a playful and solid preparation for primary school. Together with parents, we work on each child's development at their own pace.
