Steenuilen

De Steenuilen is our after-school care facility in Alphen aan den Rijn, designed specifically for children from 7 years upwards. We are conveniently located close to a large park, allowing us to enjoy outdoor activities every day. Our building features a dedicated stage where children who love theater and dance have plenty of space to develop their acting or singing talents. We also have a technical workbench where we get creative with technical projects. Our program is very diverse. We regularly take trips to Europapark, go on insect discovery hunts and organize craft activities. In our cooking club we try out delicious and healthy recipes together. We also experiment with chemistry experiments and offer various workshops so that children can continuously discover and try new things. For our care services we work together with primary schools in the area. For schools within walking distance, our pedagogical staff pick up the children on foot. For schools that are further away, we use our own (bike) buses or have arrangements with a taxi company. This ensures that every child arrives safely with us. Our opening hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM, Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM and Friday from 12:30 PM to 6:30 PM. During holidays we are open every day from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
