De Springplank BSO

Welcome to BSO De Springplank, located at Wilhelminastraat 19 in the heart of Sint-Oedenrode. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a homely and safe environment. After a day at school, it's time to relax with a drink and some fruit. Children can flop down on the couch with a book or play a game together. The younger children enjoy themselves in the play kitchen or can let their creativity run wild while crafting. We believe in the importance of play and giving children space to develop. Our pedagogical staff guide the play and enrich it where necessary. We work with themes and tailor our offerings to what the children in the group need. This means we regularly set out creative activities or games that fit the theme of the moment. During school holidays, we offer a special holiday program. Children come to the BSO for full days and can participate in a wide range of activities. A unique part of our holiday program is the workshops organized by our pedagogical staff (in training). Children can choose which workshop they want to join. We have previously offered workshops such as 'Making Slime', 'Making Perfume', and 'Yoga'. Additionally, we encourage children to wonder, explore, and experiment with toys and developmental materials. Think of designing on the light table or making and flying airplanes in the yard. Child participation is very important to us. We believe it is essential that children have a say and that there is room for their ideas. Do they have a fun idea? Then we look together to see if this is possible and schedule it. We actively ask children for their opinion on, for example, how often we go outside or what theme they would like to work on. In this way, children learn that their voice matters and we contribute to their self-confidence and development.
