De Schothorst

Welcome to De Schothorst, our daycare center located in a characteristic old farmhouse at Klaas de Rookstraat 49 in Hengelo. We provide childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a homely environment with a large, green garden where children can play and explore to their heart's content. Our team of certified pedagogical staff is ready to professionally guide and stimulate your child in their development. At De Schothorst, we believe in the power of every child. We inspire and stimulate, but let children discover and do as much as possible themselves. Whether it's taking their first independent steps, spreading their own sandwich, or attempting a pirouette - we give children the space to try it themselves. Our approach is designed to give children self-confidence and respect their individuality. The location is housed in a beautiful old farmhouse which creates a special and homely atmosphere. The large garden offers plenty of space for outdoor play and natural discoveries. We work with horizontal groups, where children come together in age groups. This allows us to specifically cater to the developmental stage of each child. As part of Partou childcare, we collaborate with primary schools in the area to ensure a smooth transition to primary education. We also have contact with the Expertise Center for Young Children for advice on specific care questions. Our location manager Charlotte Nijhuis is always ready for parents and children.
