De Schavuiten

De Schavuiten Leiden is a specialized daycare center where healthy children play together with children who need extra care. We provide childcare for children aged 0 to 5 years in five vertical groups, allowing each child to follow their own development path. Our team consists of pedagogical staff and pediatric nurses who work together to create a safe and stimulating environment. We believe every child is unique and should be treated equally. Our location consists of two buildings: the original building (main building) and new building (annex). The main building contains three group rooms and one quiet room for nursing care. Children play outside twice daily in our three different outdoor play areas. Therapists such as physiotherapists, speech therapists and occupational therapists are welcome at our location. This relieves parents and ensures therapies can be seamlessly integrated into the daily program. We offer a challenging toddler program and use supporting sign language and pictograms to stimulate language development. Our care is available for all children, regardless of their care needs. We create an environment where children can learn from each other and play together, always taking into account the individual needs of each child.
