De Schatkist

Welcome to BSO De Schatkist, our after-school care located in the heart of the Karveel district in Lelystad. We are situated inside primary school De Boeier at Karveel 49-19 and provide care for children aged 4 to 12 who attend this school. Under the guidance of location manager Karima Gandouzi, our team welcomes up to 90 children every day in a familiar and safe environment. The children use various rooms inside the school and our large, enclosed natural outdoor playground. This playground is right next to the Zuigerplasbos and features a water pump and a play ship, allowing us to explore, build and play in nature every day. The outdoor area is one shared space for all after-school groups; here children of different ages learn to play together and learn from each other. We tailor our activity programme to the age of the younger or older child. We offer sports and physical activities, creative craft and drawing corners, quiet moments with books and board games, and plenty of room for free play. Twice a week a sports instructor leads active sports activities in the school gym. In addition, we regularly work on themed projects such as seasons, countries or technology projects that the children design and carry out themselves. BSO De Schatkist is open every weekday after school until 6:30 pm. On school-free days and during school holidays we provide full-day care. For parents who need earlier care, there is before-school care from 7:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; on Friday this before-school care takes place at BSO Het Anker in the same district centre. During before-school care children can have breakfast with us. We work closely with De Boeier primary school and other organisations in the neighbourhood. This connection ensures a continuous line in your child's development and allows us to respond quickly to what is happening at school and in the community. Together we create a place where children feel safe, challenged and at home.
