De Schatkist

Welcome to De Schatkist, our Christian daycare center located at Haaksbergerstraat 410A in Enschede. As part of KOSMO Zuid Twente B.V., we are the first Christian childcare facility in Enschede, providing daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location forms an integral childcare center (IKC) together with GBS De Bron. Our Christian identity is tangible in everything we do. Our pedagogical staff express this identity through daily rituals such as saying grace before meals and reading and singing Bible stories and children's songs. Of course, we also sing and read well-known children's songs and stories. Christian holidays like Christmas, Easter, Ascension and Pentecost are celebrated extensively, but Sinterklaas also visits annually. We work with horizontal group structures in different core groups. Kristal provides care for babies aged 0-2 years, Parel for children aged 2-6 years, Jade for children aged 1.5-4 years, and Saffier is our special toddler group for children aged 2-4 years. This toddler care is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:30 to 12:30. Children with an ECE indication receive two extra sessions that are reimbursed by the municipality of Enschede. Our indoor spaces are furnished in a homely style to create a warm, small-scale atmosphere. The toddler groups and after-school care have access to a spacious outdoor play area with plenty of play equipment. The youngest children have their own outdoor area next to the entrance where they can play safely. We use the ECE program Uk en Puk to meet the individual needs of each child. Everyone is welcome at De Schatkist, regardless of background or beliefs. We provide a safe, loving environment where children can grow up according to Christian values.
