De Scharrelboerderij KDV

Welcome to De Scharrelboerderij KDV, located at Huizenbeemdweg 53 in Oss. We are part of De Scharrelboerderij B.V., a unique place where childcare and elderly day care come together on a beautiful farm in the polder. Children aged 0 to 4 find a safe, green environment full of discoveries. Our daycare consists of two vertical groups: De Lammetjes (The Lambs) and De Kalfjes (The Calves). In these groups, children from 0 to 4 grow up together, with each child developing at their own pace. We use the VE method Piramide, offering structured activities that connect with young children's experiences. The interaction with our elderly day care makes our approach special: babies seeking quiet sometimes receive a bottle from an elderly gentleman or lady, and toddlers help with simple tasks like folding laundry. Animals and nature are central to our daily activities. Children watch sheep through a large window from the group, meet chicks in a heat lamp pen, and learn playfully where our food comes from. Our large garden and natural playground offer plenty of space to romp, while inside and outside seamlessly blend together. We organize seasonal activities like a mud week, Christmas and Easter celebrations, where young and old come together. Our pedagogical professionals create an environment that is safe, familiar and challenging. We believe children develop through discovery and play in nature, with respect for each other and the animals around us. Every day is a new adventure on our farm, where children not only learn to play, but also learn how to deal with animals and how important care for each other and nature is.
