De Ruimte

Welcome to De Ruimte, a child-friendly location of SKAR located at Breezandpad 5 in Arnhem-Elderveld. In a modern building that we share with primary school De Klimboom, we offer toddler care and after-school care. Our location is bright, spacious and inviting, both indoors and outdoors. For the youngest children we have two toddler groups: De Wildebras and De Rakkertjes, both for children aged 2 to 4 years. Here children have all the space to play, discover and develop through play. We work with a fixed daily schedule, starting every morning at 8:15 AM and ending at 12:00 PM. On Wednesdays and Fridays one of the toddler groups is closed, allowing us to give extra attention to the children present. Our pedagogical staff are enthusiastic, committed and well-trained. They take every child seriously and offer personal attention, tailored to the child's own pace. We believe that children develop best when they feel safe and valued. That's why we create a warm and homely atmosphere where there is room for own ideas and initiatives. Outside, children can enjoy playing in our safe garden. We use the playground of De Klimboom and regularly organize activities that match the world of experience of toddlers. Think of crafts, singing, dancing and discovering nature. We find it important that children can choose what they want to do themselves, while we encourage them to try new things. Parents are actively involved in the care. We have an active parent committee that regularly consults with the location manager. Through our newsletter we keep parents informed of all developments and activities.
