Welcome to De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location Willem van Oranje, a small-scale daycare centre located at Hendrick Croesinckstraat 36 in the multicultural Feijenoord district of Rotterdam. We are part of Stichting Peuter & Co and provide a safe, welcoming place for 2- and 3-year-olds. With a maximum of 26 places organised in horizontal groups, every child receives the individual attention they deserve. Everything we do is geared towards a smooth transition to primary school. Our qualified staff guide children as they learn through play. Indoors, cosy reading, building and craft corners invite exploration; shelves full of puzzles and games spark curiosity. Outdoors, children can run, climb and cycle on our secure playground. We sing, chat and read together, expanding vocabulary and social skills naturally. Sharing toys and solving little conflicts are all part of the daily adventure. Early literacy and numeracy are woven into play: we read picture books, count blocks, weigh sand and measure water. Each child’s progress is closely monitored and activities are tailored to their needs. Parents are our partners: during stay-and-play mornings, parent-child workshops and information sessions we share practical tips that can be continued at home, building a strong bond between home and school. A session lasts about three hours, either in the morning (08:30-11:45) or in the afternoon (12:45-15:45). The number of sessions is agreed individually with parents.
