De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location Park16hoven is situated in Overschie, within the building of primary school Park16hoven. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years. Our toddlers play and learn in a safe, familiar environment that perfectly matches the world of young children. We follow the VVE programme of the municipality of Rotterdam, with themes such as seasons, emotions and the immediate environment. Through play we stimulate language and speech development, social-emotional growth, motor skills and sensory perception. Outdoor play is central to our approach. Our naturally designed outdoor space invites climbing, clambering and building sandcastles. We believe that being outdoors and moving are essential for healthy development. For parents who wish, we offer extended toddler care. Children from 3 years old can then stay longer to play and learn with their friends. We tailor our activities to what the children enjoy and need, with extra attention for language development and challenging games. The collaboration with primary school Park16hoven is intensive. Children become familiar with the school environment at an early age and get used to the structure of a school day. This continuous line makes the transition to group 1 smooth and natural.
