De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, location OBS Over De Slinge Krabbendijkestraat is located in the same building as public primary school Over De Slinge at Krabbendijkestraat 243 in Rotterdam. We are a daycare center focused on toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. As part of Stichting Peuter & Co, we provide a familiar and safe environment where toddlers are playfully stimulated to take steps in their development towards becoming independent, social and resilient members of society. Our toddler school works closely with the primary school in which we are located. This collaboration ensures a smooth transition to the kindergarten groups. We offer optimal development opportunities for toddlers and prepare them for a successful school career. Our approach aligns with Rotterdam's education policy: a flying start for every Rotterdam toddler, regardless of background or beliefs. We work with horizontal groups, where toddlers of the same age are together in one group. This allows us to specifically respond to the developmental needs of this particular age group. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding toddlers and create an environment where children feel safe to explore and learn. During daycare, the focus is on stimulating language development, social skills and independence. We let children experience the added value of being together in a group and teach them to interact with other children and adults. Our activities are designed to make children creative, social and self-reliant - characteristics that fit the citizen of the 21st century. De Rotterdamse Peuterschool provides toddlers with good preparation for primary school. Through play, they learn skills that are essential for their further development. We see our toddler school as a supplement to the home situation and offer toddlers extra development opportunities in a professional environment.
