Peuteropvang De Akkers

Peuterschool OBS De Akkers is a branch of De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, located within primary school OBS De Akkers at Jagerslaan 15 in Feijenoord, Rotterdam. We provide professional early childhood care for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Our preschool works closely with the primary school, making the transition to formal education both literally and figuratively smaller. Play-based learning is at the heart of our approach. We encourage children to explore, experiment and develop at their own pace. Our activities focus on language development, social skills and independence. We use a VVE program (Early Childhood Education) that connects with the world of experience of toddlers. Themes such as seasons, emotions and the body are introduced in a playful way. Our pedagogical staff provide a safe and familiar environment where every child can be themselves. We believe it is important that children learn to play together, share and take each other into account. Parents are actively involved in their child's development. We are open to questions and consultation, and regularly organize parent meetings. De Rotterdamse Peuterschool is part of Stichting Peuter & Co and has as its mission to give every toddler an optimal start, regardless of origin or background. We offer both morning and afternoon groups, and work together with the CJG (Center for Youth and Family) to support parents in choosing early childhood care.
