Peuteropvang Charlois

We are De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, located at OBS Charlois on Clemensstraat 111 in Rotterdam. As part of Stichting Peuter & Co, we provide professional developmental care for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Our location has 32 childcare places and follows the VVE program (Preschool Education), preparing toddlers for primary school through play-based learning. Our approach centers on "learning through play". Toddlers discover, explore and experiment in a safe and familiar environment. We follow the unique Peuterstappen model, stimulating children's natural curiosity while respecting their individual developmental pace. Our pedagogical staff work results-oriented: we observe, identify and guide each child individually. Daily we offer a varied program including language stimulation, motor activities, creative development and social skills. We sing, read stories, do arts and crafts, and spend lots of time outdoors. Physical activity is an important part of our program - every day we go outside to play and move in our secure garden. We work closely with primary school OBS Charlois, making the transition to primary school literally and figuratively smaller. Parents are our educational partners: we actively involve them in their child's development and offer parent meetings and participation activities. Together we give every toddler a flying start!
