Welcome to De Rotterdamse Peuterschool at Hildegardisschool, where play and learning come together in the heart of Rotterdam-Oude Noorden. We provide a safe and familiar environment for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years, where they can discover and grow through play. Our goal is to give every toddler a flying start on their way to primary school. Our location is housed on the ground floor of Hildegardis primary school at Verbraakstraat 7. This unique collaboration between school and childcare ensures a seamless transition from toddler group to kindergarten group. Toddlers become familiar with the school environment at an early age, making the step to group 1 literally and figuratively smaller. We work according to the VVE program (Pre- and Early School Education), where we cover themes that connect with toddlers' world of experience. Think of "Oof, it's hot" in summer or "Sneezing in autumn". These themes stimulate speech and language development, social-emotional development, motor development and sensory perception. Our pedagogical staff create new activities daily that perfectly match your child's developmental stage. A day with us looks like this: your child talks, sings, builds, cycles, laughs, puzzles, runs and plays with peers from the neighborhood. We go outside every day to our safe playground, where toddlers can run, discover and play together. This not only stimulates motor development, but also teaches children how to interact with other children, share and resolve conflicts. Our approach is based on "learning through play". We believe that children learn most by doing and discovering at their own pace. Our pedagogical staff carefully observe how each child develops and adapt their guidance accordingly. We work results-oriented, using toddlers' natural curiosity to stimulate their development. Parents are very welcome with us.
