Peuterschool Finlandia is a warm, safe place in the Delfshaven district where children aged 2 to 4 grow through play. We are located on the ground floor of the primary school Finlandia building at Brigantijnstraat 46-48. With 31 places we work in two horizontal groups: one for younger toddlers (2-3 years) and one for older toddlers (3-4 years). This allows us to tailor activities precisely to your child's stage of development. Our pedagogical staff provide a rich language environment every morning: we sing together, read picture books and use themed corners where new words are learned through play. Movement is also central. In our spacious garden toddlers can cycle, run and climb; indoors there is a movement corner with dance and music. We encourage creative development through crafts, painting and building with various materials. Everything takes place in small circles so that each child receives the attention they deserve. We follow the VVE program 'Kaleidoscoop'. This means we work specifically on language, numeracy and social skills, tailored exactly to your toddler's age. The collaboration with primary school Finlandia makes the transition to group 1 smooth: the toddlers regularly drop by the reception class and get to know the school world in a playful way. During the shared fruit moment children learn healthy habits and practice eating and drinking independently. For children with allergies or dietary requirements we naturally provide suitable alternatives. Half-days are possible: you can choose a morning or afternoon place. This leaves plenty of room for home or other activities.
