Peuterschool De Wilgenstam, part of De Rotterdamse Peuterschool, is located at Meidoornsingel 120 in Schiebroek, Rotterdam. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers aged 2 to 4 years, where they are stimulated in their development through play-based learning. Our location works closely with primary school OBS De Wilgenstam, making the transition to elementary school both literally and figuratively smaller. Our approach centers on learning through play. We implement a VVE program (Early Childhood Education) featuring themes that connect with toddlers' everyday experiences - such as seasons, emotions, colors and shapes. This method stimulates language development, social skills, motor skills and sensory perception in young children. Our qualified pedagogical staff specialize in toddler guidance and follow each child's individual developmental pace. We work in small groups with a maximum of 16 children, ensuring ample individual attention for every child. Toddlers attend 2 sessions per week, with options for morning or afternoon groups. Parental involvement in child development is highly valued. Through our parent app, we keep you informed about daily activities and your child's progress. We also organize regular parent meetings and welcome informal conversations with our pedagogical staff. Children bring their own fruit and diapers to the peuterschool. We recommend leaving an extra set of clothes as well. During the welcome meeting before your child starts, we provide comprehensive information about our approach and answer all your questions.
